Well Mannered Older Men

Yesterday was a frustrating day at work. Let's just say miscommunication and math were the culprit and leave it at that (Yes I know you guys were math/engn/econ, SHUT UP!)

Today has already managed to put a smile on my face to make up for the spreadsheet from hell. First it's sunny. Second, plans are in place to meet up with Hummus, JGG, and Crouton tomorrow for sangria. And third, I have a full tank of gas (silly story to follow).

So I'm getting gas and this gimundo fly comes cruising at my face. So I start doing the jiggly-wiggly-oh-lord-I-hope-it's-not-on-me dance and flipping my hair and ruffling it up trying to make sure NO FLY lands on me! When the not entirely unattractive old-ish dude across from me waves and smiles. Was I flirting? I don't know.

I tell him, "I'm terrified of bugs and them landing on me"
He says, "They're attracted to you. I can see why."

Complimenting?? Creeping??? Commenting on the bright yellow of my hoodie????

I'm not sure how I should take it, but it put a smile on my face.

Also fourth happiness of the day: I'm wearing flip flops :D

Today was day 1 of my lactose free diet (I've been getting sick after eating for a while now, and the doctors think it's probably a food allergy but are trying to figure out what I'm allergic to, exactly...gluten has already been ruled out, whew). I only failed a little bit. My co worker brought in homemade chocolate peanut butter eggs, so then I ate half of one, before he told me there was cream cheese in the filling (I figured since the milk chocolate layer was really thin, it'd be okay...but the filling probably counts as ruining my diet). Then at Whole foods there was a sample station with Whole Food brand oreos, and I ate one without thinking, and looking back on it, that most likely has some sort of lactose in it as well.

Fuzzy thought of the day: Hopefully if things work out, in a few days I'll get to hang out (and drink) with Watermelon and Crouton, and Jolly Green Giant! AND it will be 70something degrees in Michigan (though 80 in Cincinnati...whoa).
I am watching True Life: I Have Digital Drama. I just feel the need to tell everyone. Mostly because the title is so ridiculous.

That is MY fuzzy thought of the day.

WTH Andrew Lloyd Webber!

I just found out that Webber wrote a new musical called Love Never Dies that is the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera.

(spoiler alert)

Raoul turns out to be a drunken jerk, it turns out Phantom and Christine had a one night stand the night before her wedding to Raoul and he turns out to be her son's real dad, and Meg Giry kills Christine cuz Meg turns out to be a prostitute.

Seriously, WTH Andrew Lloyd Webber?

Food Fuzzies

That is, fuzzy thoughts about food. Not to be confused with fuzzy food which is decidedly gross.

Sir Tubbington took me out to breakfast today at the Broken Egg.

I got "Honky Tonk French Toast" which was cinnamon bread french toast covered in bananas, peanut butter chips, and caramel sauce. And there was whipped cream on top. Tubby got "Veggie Breakfast Stew" which was eggs, potatoes, red onion, spinach, and zucchini all scrambled together.

We shared and it was dee-lee-shush :)

Even though it's 1:22 a.m. I'm still counting this as my Saturday happy thought for the day. I had kind of a blah evening though, so the only one I can come up with is I'm grateful that I have a job and a steady salary so that I can eat out at multiple high end restaurants this weekend without batting an eyelash.

A lot of my happy thoughts involve eating.

Fuzzy. Literally.

My friend just informed me that there is a lion or tiger on the loose in Cincinnati. I hope I don't get eaten on my walk.
